Custom Fit
A seat cover that has been manufactured to fit the exact year, make and model of your automobile is referred to as a custom fir seat cover. Since these covers are made with the exact measurements, they fit perfectly at all times. It provides access to every feature coming with your particular model’s seats.
Friction
Friction (a term used in Physics) occurs when two objects rub against one another, and when one or both the objects are in motion. Energy in the form of heat is released due to friction. This eventually results in degeneration of the surface material.
Neoprene
Neoprene is an oil resistant material that was originally used as an alternative to natural rubber. But this incredible material can be used in limitless number of applications as well. Neoprene is nowadays used in wet suits, fan belts, noise insulation pads, gaskets, and electrical insulation and also seat covers.
Pelts
Pelts are animal skins which still have the fur, hair or wool still attached to them. Pelts do not shed unlike other lesser fur seat covers and is hence a popular sear cover fabric.
Pink Slip
The term pink slip is an American slang that stands for title of a vehicle. It can be compared to the Blue Book that is used in England. Most DMVs advice not to drive with your pink slip in the glove box, just in case your vehicle is ever gets stolen.
Polyester
Polyester is made of a water resistant synthetic fiber and it is used for various applications. It is both lightweight but also strong, and so Polyester has become extremely popular in recent times.
Semi-Custom Fit
A Semi-custom fit cover will never give you a perfect fit and is never as good when you compare it with the Custom cover. The truth is, these covers will fit about 80% as well as a full custom fit seat cover. And they can also not accommodate the full features and functionalities of the automobile’s seats.
Universal Fit
A Universal seat cover is not tailored with precise seat measurements and will fit any bucket seat. Since these covers are generic in nature, they never give the complete protection that you need.
UV / Ultra Violet
Huge amounts of Ultra Violet or UV rays are emitted by the sun. Yes most of it gets blocked, but some hit the Earth and end up damaging or health and also objects such as automobile upholstery. It dries out the natural oils in leather, and it bleaches color out of vinyl and cloth upholstery.
